The CEIC plays a key role in the Problem Solver Network—a collaborative effort designed to strengthen communication between business districts and City resource leaders. Originating in 2022 with facilitation from the Mayor’s Office, these meetings were created to address the disproportionate livability impacts faced by districts like the Central Eastside. CEIC has leveraged this platform to ensure swift, coordinated responses to chronic public space issues such as trash, graffiti, abandoned vehicles, and other environmental concerns.

In partnership with the Public Environment Management Office (PEMO), the CEIC helps drive long-term solutions by not only addressing immediate concerns but also advocating for activation and stabilization projects that improve public safety and support economic vitality. Through this network, the CEIC continues to champion a cleaner, safer, and more vibrant Central Eastside.
